“Diversity is an emotively favourable word and of course we are all in favour of it but unfortunately we mean different things by it,” Andrew Brons MEP said during a debate in the European Parliament on the EU’s Biodiversity Strategy to 2020.
“I have a book on British Wild Animals from 1947 in which it welcomed the addition of the Grey Squirrel to British Wild Life in the interests of Diversity,” Mr Brons said.
“I have some good news for the writer of the book and for the Grey Squirrel: it is now to be found everywhere in Britain.
“For the Red Squirrel I have some less welcome news: Your habitats have been taken and you will soon be extinct.
“There are some people who defend the Grey Squirrel and say:
– it was born and brought up in Britain;
– it would have gone to school in Britain if squirrels went to school;
– it would have a British passport if squirrels had passports.
– indeed, it is not really a Grey Squirrel at all but simply a native Red Squirrel that happens to have grey fur.”
Mr Brons said that 1947 was “only sixty-five years ago and yet the squirrel population has undergone such enormous changes.
“The human population of Britain has also changed enormously.
“It just shows how the wrong kind of diversity can lead very quickly to the displacement of native populations,” he told his less than pleased EU colleagues.

Funny how diversity is a strength only when the PTB say so. For example the liberal establishment are not at all keen on female genital mutilation in Britain despite this being a common practice, for cultural reasons, in places like Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan. Surely, to condemn this practice as butchery is yet another example of Western imperialism?
It must be fun saying stuff like that to them! I suppose using cute little furry animals as a metaphor for the invasion we are facing makes it somewhat more easy for middle class white ‘liberals’ to relate to. Well done Mr Brons.

Absolutely brilliant rhetoric, worthy of Cicero. Let’s hope it sinks in somewhere. Isn’t it a shame that this same story, exactly as it is simply and highly effectively put here, isn’t on the font pages of any British newspapers!
