I suspect that Southern Rail is not run particularly well, but much better than many people make out.
I also suspect that the unions actually have a good case in relation to the current bitter dispute. This is despite the fact that it is obvious ‘Politicos’ are agitating purely to upset the present government.
As always the answer can be found in our classless nationalism that wishes to help all our people.
The British Democrats are in favour of taking back the railways into public ownership and providing the best peoples railway in the world.
Regarding the current dispute, how about asking the people who use the railways if they want guards or not.
Yes, of course they do and while we are at it why don’t we teach the guards first aid and thus qualified they could make the trains even safer and earn more! The Marxists in the unions never thought of that – did they?
You see there is a better way with the British Democrats!!

I hate to disagree, People said they would never ride the dockland light railway. It doesn’t even have drivers let alone guards . But every day they are chockablock
We are now living in a time when much oxygen is wasted discussing driverless cars, at least trains ,well most of them will still have drivers The important thing one must remember is the Unions. Striking when the lumpen proles get hurt the most . Rich folk always have an alternative.
I like rail travel but at what cost.
Also one very important issue . If we sack a thousand guards. Then that’s a thousand new immigrants we can refuse entry . Our unemployed get first pick, unlike today.
The strikes have cost the economy many millions. Red militant unions should not be able to hold the country to ransom and they need to sorting pronto. Bring in new laws to stop or at least for now limit their powers.
