Sarah Champion, the Labour MP for Rotherham and former shadow secretary of state for women and equalities, was asked to resign after writing an article in The Sun newspaper warning that more must be done to stop gangs of Pakistani men targeting young girls for sex.
A source close to Mr Corbyn confirmed he requested she leave his top team, adding that it was not appropriate for Ms Champion to have suggested that Pakistani men are largely responsible for the grooming and rape of young white girls.
Trevor Philips, the former chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission is reported as saying, “I am absolutely gobsmacked, this is not the Labour party I know, even in the darkest days I don’t remember people being asked to stand down for trying to represent their constituents.
With Corbynites succeeding in getting Sarah Champion kicked out of the Shadow Cabinet, it is worth listening to (non-practising) Muslim Labour candidate Amina Lone on Newsnight. She says Champion has been “used as a scapegoat and was an easy target”. Lone, who was born to Pakistani parents, says she is “despairing” about Champion’s resignation because these “difficult conversations” need to be had.

Amina Lone also says on Twitter:
“I grew up in a Muslim community where these attitudes were common. “White girls are easy” “Nobody cares about them” “They are just slags” “The parents don’t look after them properly” etc and are still prevalent today – I hear it being said regularly.
Sarah Champion was talking about a particular type of grooming which is carried by men because of their cultural/religious practices. Obvs not all men. She is not a racist but a brave woman speaking out about a politically awkward issue. Labour, bury your heads as much as you like in the black & white purist world you push. The chickens will come home to roost.”
Will any Labour politician dare to speak out about this important issue following Champion’s sacking? This is a dangerous precedent…
Following Amina Lone’s defence of Sarah Champion on Newsnight and Twitter she has been barred from re-standing by the Labour Party. They are using a spurious allegation that her attendance record isn’t up to scratch, but as the Manchester Evening News points out this is a highly unusual course of action. Cllr Lone and her allies believe she is being stitched up as punishment for her outspoken campaigning. Certainly, seems quite a remarkable coincidence, especially given Lone is highly-rated in sensible Labour circles.
The chilling reality of what happens to young Muslim Labour women MPs and Councillors who speak out against …………..…!!!
As far as Labour’s membership and activism are concerned, you have the far Left now running the show…Corbyn’s followers and the likes of Momentum are hardline Commies, and it’s no surprise now that anything other than a glowing endorsement of all things ‘diverse’ will result in this kind of reaction. Zero tolerance for any dissenters.
