In the European Parliament a group has to have at least 25 deputies from at least 7 EU countries as members in order to be registered.
The new Front National led anti-EU Europe of Nations and Freedom bloc, includes Italy's Northern League and the Freedom Party of Dutch politician Geert Wilders.
The group also includes: Vlaams Belang from Belgium and the Polish Congress of the New Right. The grouping also has the support of UK MEP Janice Atkinson, expelled from UKIP in March over an expenses scandal.
The group could qualify for around €17.5m (£12.6m) of EU money over the next four years, according to calculations by the think tank Open Europe
· an annual grant of €2,974,718.39 to set up and run the new group;
· a grant for a linked pan-European political party;
· a grant for a linked political foundation or think tank;
· amounting to €4,442,759.83 every year;
· or about €17.5 million over the remaining four years of Parliament's term
UK Independence Party (UKIP) and its leader Nigel Farage have already formed a rival right-wing, anti-immigration alliance in the European Parliament called the Europe of Freedom and Democracy Group.
Farage had also publically refused to enter in an alliance with Le Pen and Wilders back in 2014. He also poached the Swedish Democrats from being a potential member of the Le-Pen EU alliance, making harder for Le Pen to form a group. Farage also gained an FN defector needed to form the EFDD or EFD in 2014.
Recently, former Tory, Janice Atkinson had been expelled from UKIP in March and suspended from the EFDD Group in the European Parliament. Therefore, it is rather interesting Janice Atkinson former UKIP MEP had been the final and 7th nationality required for the EU Europe of Nations and Freedom to be formed.
Clearly, the 'Europe of Nations and Freedom Group' has more patriotic credibility to the growth of the Eurosceptic movement in Europe.

A pan European political party which is not crippled by PC like UKIP? That may be something to join and a real prospect!

Who knows what Farage really believes. One minute Enoch Powell is his favourite politician , the next his party is happy with Britains current demographic trends. He is like a paper bag in an alley, aimlessly blowing up this way and that.
So Nationalists can benefit from the EU while wanting out of it, the irony is stark, but if that’s the way is, and it helps us bring their super-state tyranny to an end, good. No wonder the rabid lefties are foaming at the mouth.
Quite a few on the left are beginning to think we should leave since the EU is not left-wing enough for their tastes. An interesting development!
I agree with Mike Newland on a pan European political party. The British Democrats could become that party.

What is the EU parliament . A talking shop, the Commissars do not listen to. I’m sure Andrew was aware he was spitting in the wind. Am I wrong in believing its there purely as a rubber stamp. And just like national parliaments that issue referenda results that are not correct . Then they are politely asked to vote again.
So whoever Marine Le Penn ushers into her group, she still wont get a fair hearing . Even if she manages to win the French presidential election down the line.
